Surf Coast Arts Trail

Saturday August 5th and Sunday August 6th from 10am until 5pm

We are very excited this year to be turning our bookshop into a beautiful art gallery for the weekend.

This year in the bookshop we are featuring the artwork of four wonderfully talented local artists …

Elaine d’Esterre:

Bron Ives:

Susan Reddrop:

Jane Pittard:

Since its inception 12 years ago the Surf Coast Arts Trail has become a key feature on our events calendar, showcasing the creativity and talent of artists living and working in the Surf Coast Shire.

In celebration we will be offering a complimentary glass of champagne while you wander around and observe the artwork. Many of the works featured will be for sale and you will be able to take it straight away home with you.

There is also 15% off all books this weekend only.

Elaine at work in her Anglesea studio where she creates paintings, collage and etchings with a female and environment-friendly focus derived from wild places, deep time and archaeology….

Bron Ives with ‘Eels’ at Great Escape Books. Bron’s work combines printmaking, photography and advocacy. In her recent Painkalac Series she used thin layers of rust and deep blue inks aiming to evoke the glow just before sunrise and after sunset. She is a Fairhaven local.
Susan Reddrop is a sculptor and glass artist. Here she is pictured at Glass Works Montselvat Studio.
This year Susan will be featuring her glass mushroom and corcubits – gaurds, zucchini’s and pumpkins. Susan is a regular in the bookshop over the years with her now grown-up children.

Jane Pittard at Great Escape Books. Jane is a watercolour artist and divides her time between Eastern View and her farm . Her love of the beach and rural life the inspiration for her paintings. Jane’s watercolour’s over the weekend will feature both high country and coastal landscapes.

We look forward to seeing you this weekend!
