About The Rosie Project

Don Tillman is a highly intelligent scientist, with a great job at the university, a fabulous set of friends,  a perfect life in fact except for one small fact- he’s a bit lonely. So being the scientist he is, he designs “ The Wife Project” using a sixteen page questionnaire to find the perfect partner. However, she definitely won’t be a barmaid, a smoker, a drinker or anyone chronically late to arrive. Rosie is all those things. She is also beautiful and intelligent and needs his help to find her biological father – which Don, as a Professor of Genetics, just might be able to help her at the University labs. So together they embark on an adventure to find Rosie’s father and which may lead Don to fall in love for the first time with someone all together entirely unsuitable. The results are unpredictable, and absolutely hilarious.

The Rosie Project was snapped up by Text Publishing in Australia last year and rights have been sold in more than thirty countries worldwide. To give everyone out writing a novel in their second drawer some hope, Graeme Simsion wrote The Rosie Project in just fifty days.  According to his blog, he spent nineteen days writing the first copy then thirty days re-writing, before winning the award for an unpublished manuscript at the 2012 Victorian Premier’s Literary Awards.
