Our Review…   A Little Life is a powerful, disturbing but truly rewarding novel. It’s full of pain, desperation, and a sense of isolating sadness that sucks the reader into some very dark places. It’s also the best book I’ve read in years. Centreing almost entirely around four young men, these college roommates embark on a brilliant friendship that encompasses the fascinating New York art, film, architecture and legal scene. All four men are protective of their secrets, but Jude St Francis, in particular, has a desperately terrifying past that he tries at all costs to bury. Skilfully and sensitively written, ‘ A Little Life’ gave me a deep insight into how young men process emotion and pain. Essential redaing for anyone who has teenagers or young adults in their lives…keep your young men close to you. Review by Nicole @ Great Escape Books
