A Room Called Earth by Madeleine Ryan – Our Review
By turns warmly comic and shatteringly intimate, we see over the course of just one night that there is a wondrous universe inside each of us.
A young woman gets ready for a party in Melbourne. She knows she likes the anticipation of a great night rather than the event itself.
Over the course of the night, she will leave the gathering and return again. She is funny and self-deprecating, and people can’t help but be drawn to her.
As the evening unfolds, through who she meets, she takes us on an enlightening trip on what it means to be human, to be relevant and loved, to be accepted on far more than just a physical level.
Utterly unique, A Room Called Earth is quite extraordinary.
