America Fantastica by Tim O’Brien – Our Review

Our Review…

America Fantastica strings together an eclectic mix of characters in an almost Fear and Loathing-style tour of Capitalist America.

Tim O’Brien satirises the current climate of lies in a society which has come to accept mistruths as truths. Drawing on a number of players, O’Brien explores excess without insouciance.

If your vibe is Guy Ritchie’s films, such as The Gentleman  or the satire of Don DeLillo or Sam Lipsyte , with a healthy side of McDonalisation, you won’t be unfulfilled.
