Black River by Matthew Spencer – Our Review

Our Review…
This will be one of the best Australian thrillers for 2022, perfect for the long, cold winter. Set in a hot, dusty Sydney summer at Prince Albert College with its expansive ground and wild areas of bush bordering the Parramatta River where bodies of 2 girls have been found and a third on the grounds. Adam Bowman, almost burned out journalist is helping the police, his knowledge as an ex pupil vital.

So many potential suspects among the staff and groundkeepers with loads of graft and corruption trailing all the way back to the Mafia at Griffiths. So many false leads and failings exposed along the way, changed my mind every new lead, couldn’t put down till the end. Everything a good thriller needs and some laugh out loud use of our unique language and slang.

Don’t miss this.
