Courage Hats by Kate Hoefler and Illustrated by Jessixa Bagley (Hardback) – Our Review

Our Review…

Courage is something that comes from the heart, but if you can’t find it there, maybe make a courage hat first instead. Mae is afraid of bears and Bear is afraid of people. Both have to board a train to make a very long journey, so they make a hat impersonating a bear and a person and over the course of a slightly nerve-wracking train journey find they have lots in common.

A beautiful story that that celebrates kindness and empathy and shows that differences are only just skin deep. With illustrations of newspaper-reading deer and talking rabbits, as well as families of traveling warthogs, children will be delighted with this fabulous book.

Perfect for ages 8 plus.
