Crushing by Genevieve Novak – Our Review
Crushing by Genevieve Novak is the second brilliant book by this author that you will not be able to put down. It’s enthralling, it’s disturbingly relatable and utterly engaging. I couldn’t put it down and loved every minute of it.
We met Marnie. Marnie is drowning in the overwhelm of life. Marnie loves love, she can’t remember a time in the past decade that she hasn’t been shacked up in a monogamous relationship. One ends, and another one starts.
But now she’s sworn off relationships. She needs to get herself together and needs to do it alone.
But then she meets Isaac, he is witty and good company. Oh, and he also has a girlfriend so makes the perfect friend.
We come along for the ride, as Marnie gets comfortable with being single. We join her friends, housemate, and her boss at the cafe to get to know the real Marnie. The messy, bitingly hilarious and a little lost Marnie, as she begins to figure out just what she might like her life to look like.
So good! The perfect binge read.
