Goodwood by Holly Throsby

Our Review…In a town that celebrates its serenity, in the space of one week, two of Goodwoods most beloved residents go missing, shattering the small community. Told from the insightful eyes of seventeen-year-old Jean, Goodwood's inhabitants are portrayed with gentle humour and empathy. The towns characters are all fascinating, from the community’s upright citizens, to it’s eccentrics and it’s darker roughnecks. Jean’s relationship with her mother is particularly beautiful.
A great novel for all ages, this superb debut Australian mystery by Holly Thorsby perfectly captures the essence of innocence, youth and the dawn of experience. A great new Australian talent and a sensational read.
