Happiness by Aminatta Forna- Our Review

I am entranced by this author and after ‘The Memory of Love’ and ‘The Hired Man’ I couldn’t wait the read ‘Happiness’.
Two strangers literally collide on a bridge in London, Attila, an African psychiatrist and Jean, studying urban foxes. They cross paths several times throughout and open up new and different worlds neither existed. This is not about romance or politics or individual needs but a glowing salute to urban networks, friendships and the randomness of kindness.
An uplifting tribute to the simplicity of happiness and the connection between kindness without demands and attention. A beautifully written book that filled me with joy and a cast of people to admire.
