Home Stretch by Graham Norton – Our Review
An Irish village is preparing for a wedding. The young bride and groom along with their closest friends decide to have one more fun outing before the big day and go to the beach for the afternoon.
But not all of them make it home.
Living in a small community, the tragedy touches all. There is confusion, grief and blame…and a secret amongst the survivors that leads for most of the crime being devastatingly laid on the wrong person.
This multilayered portrait of 1980’s rural Ireland is a treat to read. Compassionate and thoughtful, it’s a wonderful read that touches that explores the big emotions that touch us all.
