Killers of the Flower: Moon Oil, Money, Murder and the Birth of the FBI by David Grann – Our Review

Our Review….

Ignore the film cover, this book is incredibly well researched and academically on point.

Capote would be proud and I can see why it was adapted to screen, as it is hard to believe these events transpired. Texan Rangers, greedy oil barons, systemic racism and the birth of the FBI and Hoover- no wonder Scorsese couldn’t leave it alone.

David Grann knits together some incredible characters against a backdrop of what seems like the Wild West, but a West I had no idea about- the Osage Indians, at one point the richest people per capita in the world.

Killers of the Flower Moon is that crime documentary you binge on Netflix, but with some class.
