Mercy Point by Anna Snoekstra- Our Review

Mercy Point by Anna Snoekstra

Mount Cobalt is a small Australian town, seemingly like every other small town on the surface but it holds some deep dark secrets. Something happened in Mount Cobalt, and it began in the caves. There is a sinister secret that the town is desperate to protect.
The story is told from the perspective of the five main teenage characters; Tessie, Emma, Michael, Fabian and Sam, who also carry a heavy secret alone: they suspect they are adopted and they are certain their parents are lying to them. The quest for answers leads them all to joining an online group chat and it is not until they agree to meet up, do they realise that the people they have been sharing their secrets, feelings and emotions with are their enemies – fellow peers who they never normally speak to or have anything in common with. However, they are drawn to each other for answers and what follows is the build up of a tense and suspicious atmosphere with a page turning plot twist at the end.
Mercy Point is a dangerous and risky journey into discovering who you truly are. It is an exciting, riveting and gripping thriller that drew me in, held my attention and kept me guessing until the very end.
I am looking forward to the sequel!
