Scaredy Cat by Heather Gallagher

When Scaredy Cat goes missing, a little girl is forced to look high and low. (Readers might help her by spotting him hiding in each spread). A heart-warming tale about the bond between pets and their humans.

About Heather Gallagher…
Heather Gallagher is a children’s author and freelance journalist. Her writing has been published in The Age, Victorian Writer and The Big Issue. Her stories for children have appeared in black dog books Short & Scary anthology and Explore and Challenge magazines.
Heather is obsessed with quirky animal stories. Her first book Ferret on the Loose was inspired by a girl and her ferret, who Heather interviewed while working as a freelance journalist for The Sunday Age.
In 2014, she released her first picture book Happy Pants – Why is mummy so sad? This is NOT a story about ferret racing. Rather, it is a heartfelt story about a boy grappling with his Mum’s post-natal depression.
Heather was inspired to write Scaredy Cat by her dog Pip’s anxiety. Pip’s biggest fear is other dogs but he’s also terrified of delivery men, saucepans and the vacuum cleaner.
