Shelter by Catherine Jinks – Our Review

Our Review…

Shelter by Catherine Jinks is a dark, gritty and tense domestic crime fiction that will have you on the edge of your seat.

Meg knows all too well what it’s like to feel helpless, terrified and alone at the hands of a violent husband. So when she is called on to provide a safe house for another young Mum her heart is just aching to help.Nerine and her two young daughters flee in the middle of the night to join Meg at her remote property, ‘The Bolthole’ in fear of their lives. Isolated, the two women bunker down together sharing a deep understanding at their shared trauma.

But when Meg starts to notice unusual happenings at the farm, like missing items and startling sounds she begins to doubt her own sanity and safety.

Can she get herself together before it’s too late?

Shelter is a real nail biter, a true thriller that is also a remarkably accurate account of domestic violence and it’s horrors.
