Sometimes People March by Tessa Allen (Hardback) – Our Review
My teenage daughter has been quizzing me this week about our March 4 Justice – about why it was needed.
I explained that tens of thousands of women and men were calling for an end to the many forms of violence against women. Perhaps for the first time she started to understood what a protest movement was…it was no longer an abstract concept for her.
So ‘Sometimes People March’ is a very timely book indeed. With its simple but powerful text and interactive illustrations, it is a perfect narrative about how sometimes people march to resist injustice, or to stand in solidarity or to even inspire hope.
Terrific for 7-11 years old children.
