The Boy and the Dog by Seishu Hase (Hardback) – Our Review

Our Review…

Based on a true story this inspiring journey of Tamon the dog and his journey of thousands of miles back to the boy. After the devastating tsunami in Japan, people and animals were scattered far and wide by rescue groups.

A beautiful story of the five different people who came in to help the dog who was special, they agreed, on what was obviously a brief respite on his journey. His life was saved many times along the road by kind people who nursed him back to health and realized he wasn’t staying, he had a mission. Uplifting on so many levels and some characters that stay with us even the treacherous ones who got their just punishments. Wonderful tour of Japan and the seasons as Tamon never faults from his path home to his special person.

Such a happy ending with a very unexpected addition to the tale, loved it and yes there were tears and reinforcement that animals are the best.
