The Last Bookshop by Emma Young – Our Review
Kait follows her dream and opens a bookshop in a busy mall in Perth. Over the years she has built up a steady and loyal following because of the book knowledge and personal service that only great bookshops have, matching great books with people.
Rents are skyrocketing and designer label shops are driving out small owner operators. Kait is struggling and fighting to keep going. A betrayal nearly breaks her but thanks to old friends, customers and a chance at a new direction. Thanks to a staff member she had to lay off a new idea turns out to be the answer. Very satisfying and heart warming book to curl up with this winter. Reinforcing the love we have for bookshops and their vital place in our lives. Loved it.
