The Maid by Nita Prose – Our Review

Our Review…

Molly Gray is a unique character, some might describe her as eccentric but to her beloved Gran, she is just; her precious Molly. Molly and her Gran have always shared a special relationship and her Gran has always guided Molly, helping her with her quirks and decoded the awkward social situations that Molly just never seems to understand.

At twenty-five, Molly is fulfilled in her job as a maid at ‘The Regency Grand Hotel’, her obsessive personality and attention to detail make her the perfect employee, even if she struggles to connect with her fellow maids.

Suddenly, Molly’s life is thrown into a deep flailing mess when her Gran dies unexpectedly and Molly is left to navigate the world, she struggles to understand, alone.

Never one to miss a day of work, she gets straight back to work, but, Molly is again upturned when she finds the illustrious businessman Charles Black deceased in his suite. Almost immediately, Molly becomes the prime suspect, as her weirdness only serves to implicate her in the suspicious circumstances. Can the police find the real killer before it’s too late?

‘The Maid’ is quite unlike anything I’ve read recently. It’s thrilling, mysterious, funny, fascinating, heart-warming and just something really special.
