The Museum of Modern Love, by Heather Rose

Our Review:
This very beautiful contemplative novel will nourish and hearten you. Heather Rose wrote this book in MONA- our Tasmanian Museum of Modern Art about a real life performance three years prior by artist Marina Abramovic. A performance piece, Marina Abramovic sat stilly in the same chair for 75 days in MONA New York. Guests to the Art Gallery were invited to sit opposite her and gaze into her soulful tragic eyes. The connections people made, with many breaking down, was heart-wrenching and compelling for all who watched it – particularly Arky Levin, a successful composer whose life is at a crossroads. An elegant uplifting read. Highly recommended.
