The Storm Keeper’s Island by Catherine Doyle – Our Review
The Storm Keeper’s Island’ by Catherine Doyle
Our Review: Fionn and his sister Tara have long heard strange tales of the island of Arranmore and their eccentric grandfather who is the ‘storm keeper’ there. When they are sent to spend one summer there, they realise that the island is a living magical thing and their grandfather is far more than he seems.
Fionn soon finds ways to slip through time to Arranmore’s tumultuous past. Along the way he meets his long-lost father and comes face to face with an ancient evil that is struggling to find it’s way to present day. This enchanting (and not too scary) read, is full of mystery and excitement. It’s simply superb for ages 10-12 years and a great read-aloud novel for the family.
