It is no suprise, as the pages unfold that we discover that the woman it follows is an interesting and intriguing character.
The author draws us into the story of Sandra Pankhurst's life, Sandra is 'The Trauma Cleaner'. The trauma cleaner is called in to extreme circumstances to clean up crime scenes, houses of hoarders and the like.
This book is simultaneously heartwarming and heartbreaking. It follows a fascinating story of finding oneself and accepting the person that one finds.
What type of person becomes a trauma cleaner?
A woman who has overcome a devastating childhood and early life to become strong, resilient and an inspiration to so many. A woman who is nonplussed by the mess and the dirt, but who has risen above it all to recover a home of hope and beauty.
