The Wayward Witch and the Feelings Monster: Polly and Buster #1 by Sally Rippin

Our Review…
From Australia’s best-selling female author, Sally Rippin, comes this special first book in a new series about the magic of friendship.
No matter how hard she tries Polly just can’t do what other witches her age can do. Her spells are mixed up and she makes lots of mistakes. She doesn’t have any witch friends but she does have a special relationship with her neighbour Buster, who happens to be monster and who has a unique ability to grow or shrink depending on his emotions. Sadly, in their town witches and monsters are separated and not allowed to mix, so they can only be friends in private. However one day, their secret is exposed and everything changes.
Polly and Buster is a beautiful tale of friendship between two people who shouldn’t really be friends. There are themes of true friendship, honesty, peer pressure, hope and standing up for what’s right.
I adored this beautifully illustrated and moving book and highly recommend it for everyone, adult and child!

Suitable for ages 8+
