Voice of the Sea by John Williamson and Illustrated by Jonathan Chong and Andrea Innocent – Our Review

Our Review…

Voice of the Sea is a beautiful melodic story told from the perspective of a turtle that highlights the beauty and fragility of the seas by which we are girt.

Andrea Innocent and Jonathan Chong’s illustrations use colour to evoke a full range of emotions from the excitement of exploring ‘coral mansions’ to the sadness of seeing our marine worlds devastated by plastic and pollution.

This book isn’t all doom and gloom but rather a celebration of all we love about the sea and a rally cry of the things we can do to show our love for it and save it from ruin.

Written in collaboration with the Australian Marine Conservation Society, Voice of the Sea is a powerful and important picture book that children (and adults) of all ages should read!
