Walk of the Whales by Nick Bland (Hardback) Our Review
One day when the whales walk out of the sea to make their home on land, people are mystified and then a little upset when their restaurants run out of fish or when the farmers flood ‘the countryside to grow plankton for whales instead.’
It makes for quite a giggle as you read Nick Blands wonderfully rhyming text and explore his fabulously detailed illustrations.
However Walk of the Whales also packs a powerful environmental message, when a young girl decides to ask the whales just why they have left their ocean home. A fantastic book that can be read on lots of levels. Great for ages 4-5 plus.
