Yellow by Megan Jacobson
Our Review…I escaped into this compelling novel over the weekend. Yellow is haunted by a ghost in a phone box, a young teen that apparently needs her to solve his murder, but it’s far more complicated than that. As well her life is falling to pieces… her dad Lark has left her family for another woman, her mum has crashed into drinking herself to oblivion and the popular set of school friends have abandoned and mocked her. But all this breeds resilience and Yellow (named due to her glorious eyes) begins to fight back, clawing back the charred pieces of her life and thereby earning true friends and happiness in unusual places. A highly recommended coming-of-age read for teens 14 plus.
