Launch by Robert Ingpen of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Saturday October 31st 2009 at Great Escape Books.

A dazzling celebration of the Australian launch of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland with Robert Ingpen was held at Great Escape Books on a warm Melbourne Cup weekend, on Saturday October 31st. With the bookshop transformed with orginal artworks from Alice, the classic characters of Alice, the White Rabbit, the Cheshire Cat, the Dormouse and the Mad Hatter and the Queen’s tea-party was bought so gloriously to life, you can almost sense the characters jumping off the page.

Wine and champagne flowed as everyone enjoyed meeting Robert and viewing his stunning books.

We are privileged to have many personally signed copies of all Robert’s books in print, including several new rare editions of books coming into store this week…see Nicole for details!
