Great Escape Books was delighted to have one of Australia’s most well regarded surf writers, Sean Doherty, speak about his latest awesome surf biography Parko + Friends, highlighting the love of surf and life of Australian surf legend Joel Parkinson over the Easter weekend.
In an informal evening with lots of beers and a packed crowd, Sean Doherty and surf photographer Jon Frank were interviewed by writer Brendan McAloon about some of their more memorable adventures over the years while writing about and photographing great surf contests.
“Dear Nicole, I wanted to thankyou for organizing a very enjoyable evening on the 2nd April. I talked my 16 years old son and husband into coming along with me and although my son as yet is not into surfing he is a reader and enjoyed Parko and friends which we purchased on the night.Keep up the good work and will look forward to another interested author presentation.”
Cheers,Janet Brady (Eastern View)
