When You Are Mine by Michael Robotham – Our Review
Michael Robotham stand alone novels are genuine page turners that when you start you know there is a lot of things that are not going to get done for the next few days. He usually writes a series with the same main characters but now and then he delivers a stand alone and personally these are my favorites.
My personal all time favorite of this two time Gold Dagger Award winner is Life or Death from 2017 however When You Are Mine is a close second.
His masterful ability to write dual narratives and hold us in suspense until the end is one of the reasons he is so engaging. He sets up his characters so well and his main character in When You Are Mine is Philomena McCarthy who is a policewoman who has come from a gangster family and the only daughter of the head of the family. She is determined to make it on her own and very capable of doing so but when events and her superiors conspire against her, a family of gangsters can be very handy.
Crime fiction at its best from the genres most loved author.
